Like flamboyant orange melting into the dotted blue,
you melted into my heart in a gorgeous golden hue.
A crescent smile with a mischievous glimmer,
A soft touch which only my soul could feel;
I am caught unaware in fragile emotions,
so pure that tears dance as they make my smiles sing.
Prancing like a cloud, laughing like the sun;
Like an unstoppable wave you washed across my mind;
and as you left you innocently snatched,
the soft sands of my unassuming soul;
and my hapless heart was left behind,
burning, pricking, with yearning motherhood....
To cradle you in my arms and lull you to sleep'
To hold your tiny fingers and walk in wonderlands deep;
Maybe these wishes ll never find light,
and stay hidden in my silent smiles,
While you joyfully watch the beautiful dreams
unfolding for you in some other eyes.
My love for you might be a speck,
amidst the abundance your life s waiting to receive;
Yet to me they mean the universe,
'coz as I write for you these bouquets of verse,
I smile at the newborn mother in me.....

One of the most obvious results of having a baby around the house is to turn two good people into complete idiots who probably wouldn't have been much worse than mere imbeciles without it. ~Georges Courteline, La Philosophie de Georges
